Twitch Affiliate Sub Button Not Showing
Someone else has my issue! I have no sub-button and no option to upload emotes in the settings. I'm not sure what has caused this. I've emailed twitch a week ago and today got back an automated-sounding reply telling me to read all the FAQs. To be honest, I'm starting to get annoyed at the lack of support from Twitch.
- Agree to the Twitch Affiliate Agreement. If you need help interpreting the contract, please contact your local attorney. Twitch Support is not equipped to interpret this contract for you. If you are under 18, this section will ask for your parent or legal guardian to agree to the Twitch Agreement for you.

Twitch Creative is a relatively new and somewhat untapped territory, but over these past couple weeks, I’ve shown you just how much you stand to gain in building your author platform through this avenue. - At least 50 followers
- Reach an average of 3 viewers per live stream
- Live stream 8 hours of content over the past 30 days
- Streamed at least 7 different days in the past 30 days
Once you qualify for the Twitch Affiliate program, what exactly are you supposed to do then?
3 Simple Steps to Set Up a Twitch Affiliate Account
Good news for you, I documented the entire process and will show you step by step how to set up a Twitch Affiliate Account.
#1 Email Notification
Twitch will send you a notification via email that pretty much tells you what you did, how you did it, and what you can expect.
- Simply log into your Twitch account, then go to the Dashboard and select Channel under Settings on the left side.
- Click the “Get Started” button.
#2 Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Since you’ll be monetizing your Twitch channel, you’ll need to set up a security measure.
- Click the “Enable Two-Factor Authentication.”
- You’ll head to the Settings page, so then click the “Set up two-factor authentication” button.
- The process is intuitive, so I’m sure you can take that from here.
- Once you enable the two-factor authentication, head back to your dashboard and select channel under settings on the left side, then select “Get Started.”
#3 Twitch Affiliate Onboarding
You’re almost there, so stay with me for just a few more steps.
- Select “Step 1 of 4: Payout Registration.”
- Fill out all the pertinent information here including your actual name, birthdate, contact email, business name, and address.
- Now, click the “Continue” button to move onto step two of four: the Twitch Affiliate Agreement. Take your time and read the legal information so you know what you’re getting into.
- Once you’re set, select the “Agree” button. I’m not sure you’ll be able to progress forward if you select the “Disagree” button. Do so at your own risk.
- Now, you should be in step three of four, the tax interviews. Select the “Begin Royalty Tax Interview.” A pop-up will display to confirm all the information you filled out in the first step.
- Click the “Open Royalty Tax Interview Form.” Sadly, I’m not going to be able to tell you how to fill out your tax information since I’m not legally qualified. Hit up your CPA for details on how to fill out your tax information. For me, I filled out all my business information since I report all the earnings under my limited liability corporation.
- Once you’re set, click the “Submit” button at the bottom of the tax interview. Then the “Exit Interview” button will redirect you to the Settings menu for the payout setup. Back in Settings, a yellow bar displays “UNDER REVIEW.” Give it a minute or two. If you properly filled the tax information, the bar will transition to a green “COMPLETED” bar.
- Next, select the “Begin Service Tax Interview.” Scroll down and select ”Open Service Tax Interview Form” button. Fill out the pertinent information just like you did before.
- Once set, click the “Submit” button followed by the “Exit interview” button to be redirected to the settings for the final step. Much like the royalty tax interview, the information will be briefly under review and then switch to completed once your information checks out.
- Scroll down and select the continue button.
The last step of four is the payout method which includes direct deposit, check, wire transfer, or PayPal. The last option of “hold payouts” minimizes transaction fees, so you can collect your paycheck whenever you want without the hassle of paying unnecessary fees. Twitch uses a third-party company who charges a transaction fee.
Once you accrue $100 in earnings, Twitch will finally pay you.
- Select the “Set Payout Method” button. Pick the payment method you wish to use and fill out the form appropriately.
- Once you’re set, click the “Next” button to go to the settings page. Once Twitch confirms the payout method, click the “Continue” button and you’re all set.

Twitch Affiliate Vs. Twitch Partner
On the outside, Twitch Affiliate and Twitch Partner may sound reasonably similar, but they have significant differences, mainly in the perks both parties get. Ever since the chaos about Twitch Affiliate Program started, we have been getting multiple queries about the same. Today, we are going to walk you through the eligibility criteria and benefits of the Twitch Affiliate Program and compare it with Twitch Partnership.
Who is a Twitch Affiliate, and how can I become one?
The Twitch Affiliate Program is a headstart of all those hard-working, dedicated, and qualified streamers who are trying to make full-time streaming as their primary career option. The affiliate program puts them one step closer to their goals. It allows them to start making money on Twitch as well as build their audience and work hard towards their next target, Twitch Partner. In addition to this, Twitch Affiliate program requires you to fill some minimal requirements, all of which are mentioned below:
- Total live streaming of 500 minutes in the last 30 days.
- An average of at least three or more concurrent viewers over the last 30 days.
- A minimum of 50 followers.
- A minimum of 7 or more unique broadcast days in the last 30 days.
Who is a Twitch Partner, and how to become one?
You can refer to the Twitch Partnership as an elite affiliate program. Out of 9 million active broadcasters on Twitch, only around 27,000 users have been able to become the Twitch Partners. They get premium access to the famous Twitch Partner Lounge and special VIP treatment at different community events. If you want to become a part of this community, here are some requirements that make you eligible for the Twitch Partner Program:
- Total live streaming of 25 hours or more in 30 days.
- A minimum of 12 unique broadcast days within 30 days.
- Score a minimum of 75 concurrent viewers in within 30 days.
All the requirements make you eligible for the partnership. It doesn’t immediately grant you an entry into the partnership. Twitch personally monitors all the broadcasters to invite the worthy ones for the partnership program. They check your community, chat activity, chat responses, how well you connect with your audience, page overlays, the frequency of your streams, audio, and video quality, uniqueness, the potential for further growth, and of course the entertainment value your stream brings. Performing very well over these criteria may get you a pass to the Twitch Partner Program.
Twitch Affiliate Benefits
Now that you know some key differences between the affiliate program and the twitch Partnership, you should also know that becoming a Twitch Affiliate is the first milestone in your streaming career. With the title comes a bunch of benefits, most of which are listed below:
Twitch Affiliate Sub Button Not Showing Back
- Twitch Affiliates receive a SUBSCRIBE button where viewers can support your channel.
- Affiliates are also granted the ability to generate revenue by accumulating Bits.
- Twitch Affiliates can also earn money from the game sales and in-game items from their channel page.
- Affiliates can also track the revenue generated from the bits in the Revenue Tab on the account dashboard. Affiliates also get one custom sub to emote.
To earn from Twitch and get affiliated, every new user requires building up his follower base in a short period. What draws people to your channel is the content of your video, and the way you present yourself. Let your personality shine through instead of adopting a fake facade. Do not use follower bots to gain instant fame because one, they’re banned on Twitch and two, you’re risking getting your channel shut.
How to become a Twitch Affiliate Fast
Since the members of the Twitch community were kind enough to deliberately introduce Twitch Affiliate Program and help small-mid sized streamers grow faster, it’s now our responsibility to meet the minimal requirements.
2 out of 4 requirements can easily be met. You can stream for 500 minutes in a month with an easy, and streaming for 7 unique days sounds like a doable task too.
However, the rest of the requirements can give you a tough time. Even if your content is great and people watch it every time you stream, there’s no guarantee that they will follow your account.
That’s where TwitchFollower comes to your rescue. We all know that Twitch Guidelines restrict any user from deploying bots. Any account found using Twitch Bot is banned immediately by the moderators. The best and the foolproof way to gain followers is by purchasing real followers from trusted sites. One such site is TwitchFollowers.com which employs real people to follow and view channels on twitch. Sounds like a mystery? Well, read the next section where we unfold how you can get Twitch Affiliate fast using this service.
